Categories in Word Press are signposts to content types. By putting our posts in relevant categories, we can let Google and the other search engines know that our content is about some specific topic in some specific niche.
Categories make that possible, so I talk about the way to find out what your categories should be and also how to create them and use them for the best impact on search rankings.

Also, Google wants us to play nice with the other people in our niche, so they will give us brownie points if we link out to relevant, high authority content from our blog.
